About
Chloe Callow is a freelance creative artist working across narrative filmmaking, videography, photography and digital illustration. Across her creative practices, Chloe’s work is recognisable through her use of vibrant colours, intricate compositions and thematic lighting.
Influenced by film directors such as Tarkovsky, Winding-Refn and Lynch, Chloe’s films are evocative of neo-noir themes and aesthetics. Her films are often about ‘outsider’ characters finding meaning through the unknown, living in worlds where interiority is dramatically mirrored through their immediate environment. Her work and practice also analyse gender and class theory through a spiritual lens, exploring unseen forces, trauma and mysteries to uncover concealed truths.
Chloe currently resides in Sydney, Australia as a practicing filmmaker and professional photographer for live music and events, also specialising in editorial portraiture. In 2019 she completed her Bachelor of Visual Arts and Design at Australian Catholic University and graduated with First Class Honours. Her B.O.W. short film, Gestalt, earned her Second Place and Best Sound Design at USYD Film Society Short Film Festival.
Chloe is also a performer and agent, managing acting and entertainment talent across a variety of performing arts including feature film, television, commercials, theatre, dance, presenting & voice over projects locally and internationally.
When Chloe isn’t working on her computer, on a set or writing, you’ll find her at the cinema, wandering through art galleries or curling up in front of the fire with her cat and a good read.
